I do have a couple of candles that really put out the scent but I think you nailed it. It's the candle. . .lit or not. . .that smells so good. smelly jelly potpourri works the best and you can add additional oil as needed. The other thing that worked well was a metal ring that you sat on top of your light bulb filled with scented oil and so when you turned on the light bulb the oil warmed. .
